Discovering Buddhism is now available online and contains all the same materials as the hardcopy program, but with additional materials including video extracts, online electronic quizzes and an integrated discussion forum.
This module, unlike the previous 13, does not include audio of teachings and guided meditations. Instead, it is designed for personal practice, the tool by which all of the teachings become integrated with one's mind and daily life. The practices taught in this module fulfill the direct advice of Lama Zopa Rinpoche for anyone wishing to fully experience the results of the
Discovering Buddhism program.
Module 14 contains the following practices:
- Written Guidelines for how to proceed through the program. Download here.
- The Preliminary Practice of Vajrasattva
- The Preliminary Practice of Prostrations
- Nyung Na; A fasting retreat done in conjunction with the Buddha of Compassion; Chenrezig
- Assessment questions
- Completion Card
The practice booklets provided with this module contain the practice itself as well as commentary and advice on how to conduct these practices either on a daily basis or in a retreat setting. As all three are quintessential purification practices, these can be undertaken by anyone, whether engaged formally in the Discovering Buddhism program or not.
