Lama Zopa Rinpoche expressed the wish that he wanted FPMT to continue offering Buddha statues to His Holiness the Dalai Lama periodically, so we want to fulfill this request and will continue to offer statues at different auspicious occasions.

Incredibly, we have now been able to offer two thousand statues of Shakyamuni Buddha to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

In 2023, during the long life puja that FPMT offered to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, one thousand Buddha statues were offered, and in 2019, Lama Zopa Rinpoche offered one thousand Buddha statues to His Holiness.

Creating and offering Buddha statues is extremely auspicious and they are also a very useful offering to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, as His Holiness gives these Buddha statues to people who visit him.
