This meditation practice on the two types of bodhicitta is one which His Holiness the Dalai Lama does daily, and urges others to do as well.

Known as “the generation of the all-encompassing yoga mind,” the meditation involves generating conventional bodhicitta—aspiration to achieve enlightenment for the sake of all sentient beings—with the visualization of a moon disc at one’s heart; and ultimate bodhicitta—wisdom realizing emptiness—with the visualization of a five-pronged white vajra standing on that moon disc.

The translation by Ven. Michael Lozang Yeshe is of an oral teaching given by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in June 2021.

12 pages, 2022 edition.
