By reciting the mantras of Eliminating Obscurations, (Skt. Sarvanivaranaviskhambhin, Tib. Dribpa Namsel) “it purifies all the negative karma of the continuum of the body, and at the time of death, intense suffering at the end of life won’t occur and you will only die with happiness.” 

Lama Zopa Rinpoche says that this practice and the recitation of its mantras is very precious. It is also good for people doing hospice work. They can teach it to others who are in the process of dying, like people who have cancer, AIDS, and so forth. Those who are doing hospice work should make preparations for their own death and do hospice work for themselves as well, meaning they should recite this mantra to prepare for their own happy death.
