This volume makes available the complete self-initiation ritual, together with practice and set up instructions. 

Self-initiation is a powerful practice where you enter into the mandala of the deity, renew your bodhisattva and tantric vows, and take the four initiations on your own, thereby purifying broken vows and samayas as well as negativities and obscurations. This practice is especially beneficial for those who do not have the opportunity to take highest yoga tantra initiations frequently from a qualified tantric master.

In addition, the self-initiation of Vajrayogini is simple to perform, compared with the self-initiation rites of other Highest Yoga Tantra deities. For this reason, it is highly suitable for practitioners in these degenerate times, when time is short, and the ease of practice can greatly help us to keep our tantric vows and samayas pure. 

A number of updates and improvements have been made in this edition, including a translation review, further copyediting, and, for greater consistency, the use of the International Alphabet of Sanskrit Transliteration (IAST) for all Sanskrit terms and mantras.
