Starting early morning, the nuns from Khachoe Chakyil Ling Nunnery (Kopan Nunnery) chant special Buddhist prayers, including Tara prayers, the female Buddha who embodies the wisdom and the compassion of all enlightened beings.

Hillary says: "what is unique about our series of CDs is that although it is not sweetened for our Western ears, the fact that it is recorded in the amazing sound chambers of Kopan's gompas makes it perfect music for meditation. Our project is, as far as I know, the only attempt to document an entire lineage of chants in pure form. In this time of extraordinary global change, I believe these CDs are important not only to preserve something that could easily be lost, but also offer a skillful method for uplifting one's heart and strengthening one's daily practice."
