This album contains Lama Zopa Rinpoche's oral transmission (*lung) of Amitabha Pure Land Prayers, two short prayers to be reborn in Amitabha pure land, Blissful Realm.

The audio contains a two-line prayer of homage to Tathagata Amitabha and Buddha Amitayus, followed by the mantra of Amitabha Buddha and a prayer to be reborn in Amitabha Pure Land, a popular prayer for rebirth in Sukhavati that came directly from Buddha Amitabha, in a vision of the principal deity and the mandala, to Tulku Mingyur Dorje in the year 1657 when he was just thirteen years old.

Lama Zopa Rinpoche once said: if you recite Amitabha’s name every day, when you die you will go to the blissful realm of Amitabha like a rocket, without any obstacle. Rinpoche also mentioned that his mother used to recite these prayers every morning, just like practitioners of highest yoga tantra start the day with Six-Session Guru Yoga.
